MetS = Metabolic Syndrome: Any three of the following values: Blood glucose ≥5.6 mmol/L (Hba1C ≥5.7 in SAPALDIA4); waist circumference ≥ 94 cm in men & ≥80 cm in women; systolic blood pressure ≥ 130 or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 85; hdl < 1.0 mmol/L in men & < 1.3 mmol/L in women; triglycerides ≥1.7 mmol/L
