  5. M (SD), mean (standard deviation).
  6. DMi-BL: difference mean between the score of the evaluation time and the baseline score (a positive difference indicates a QoL improvement and a negative difference indicates a QoL deterioration), *p < =0.05, **p < =0.01, ***p < =0.001.
  7. ES, effect size; bold values indicate effect sizes > = 0.20.
  8. pW/NW, p-value of the comparison of standardized variation (final value minus the initial value divided by the initial value) between worsened and non-worsened individuals; italic values indicate p-value <0.05.
