  1. aSaturation is considered to be reached if a downward trend in the elicitation of new sign and symptom concepts is observed and no new concepts that are relevant (i.e., pertinent to the research question and/or not idiosyncratic to an individual subject) emerge in the final set of interviews. Saturation is considered questionable if new concepts emerge in the final quartile of interview. Subjects included in each group of interviews are as follows: Group 1 (01–01, 01–03, 01–04); Group 2 (01–11, 01–14); Group 3 (01–16, 01–17)
