  1. Mean ± SD or N (%). OAD: Oral Antidiabetic Drug. Microalbuminuria was defined as a urine Albumin:Creatinine Ratio (ACR) ≥ 2.5 - 25 mg/mmol in men and ≥ 3.5 - 25 mg/mmol in women. Macroalbuminuria: ARC > 25 mg/mmol. Peripheral neuropathy was defined as biothesiometric value > 25 volt. Cardiovascular event: Myocardial infarction, Coronary revascularization, Angina pectoris or Stroke.
